Sarah’s class Week 6

Greetings,

The excitement around this Friday nights “Vocal Nosh” has begun to spread. Every day this week at specific times the children have been busy honing their musical skills at songwriting, singing and body percussion. Peter Lehner truly is a musical magician! I hope that you can all make this event, which is due to start at 6pm. As this is a community social, please, as usual, bring some food to share.

Outside of these major preparations, we focused on our class project “celebrations” and looked more closely at a select few celebratory events. The children were provided with a photo of a particular celebration and the question: “why do we celebrate this special event?” was posed. Their thoughts/answers to this are hanging from our rafters.

Also this week we have focused on the characteristics to an “ending” of a narrative. The children incorporated all of the key elements we have covered thus far to write a ‘short story’ that included a complication that was (in most cases) solved!

NITS: Those pesty little mites are on the rampage. Please check heads and be as diligent as you possibly can with de-licing!!!

Thankyou, to the parents who help with our weekly swimming – you know who you are!

If anyone would like to help out with one to one reading on a Friday I would love, love, love to hear from you.

Look forward to seeing you Friday,

Sarah.
