Many thanks to Anne-Marie who taught the group while I was unwell last week. It is great to be back. Some of the children visibly grew over the break! I think I will start wearing high heels sometime soon!
We’re having an interesting week with a World Vision Workshop on Monday about poverty in Ethiopia in the lead up to the 40 Hour Famine and a session with scientist, John Nearhos, yesterday about exploration in space and promoting a NASA project about humans in space. Really interesting. We are learning about fractions, decimals and percentages, starting our PIPs early and completing comprehension and writing tasks with our student teacher, Owen. We have also had cake made by Anna and cupcakes made by Chloe. Delicious afternoon tea, thank you both!!
Term 3 is going to be a very busy one. We have committed to running a Mini Fair on Saturday 15th September from 3pm to 6pm as part of the Lane Cove Cameraygal Festival. If there are any parents who would be willing to help guide and assist the children in organising this, please let me know. The theme is ‘FOR KIDS BY KIDS’.
Thanks to those who have signed up for Parent Interviews. Please speak to me if you’ve been unable to find a time that suits you.
GUITAR AND PIANO students will need to check the interview timetable the day before their lesson to see if it will be on.
That’s all for now! With love, Wendy
