Our class is the first year of 'formal education'.  We take on the challenges of reading and writing and running our own class meetings. We go swimming and on excursions that we choose.

• Oscar 'I learned how to read readers and write. You can do handwriting, I like writing words. I like writing stories.'
• Rory 'My first thing to say is that you can't be bullying or any thing. It is a very nice school. You don't get all your time on working or all your time on playing, you learn all the school stuff.'
• Kyla 'It is a very nice school and we have got a pretty big playground. I like that you can stay for quite a while, from Pre school to Wendy's class.'
• Alex 'I like learning about the alphabet.'
• Hari 'I like to learn to read and write, so I can write my own stuff.'
• Cailin 'We read and write by practise, we learnt maths by a fun game. I play in the sandpit. We have topics at class meeting'
• Alba 'I like learning how to write, read as well.'
