Louise's class

Louise's class is for eight and nine year old children. Our day usually starts with 30 minutes of free play and then we get together and talk about the day ahead.

We do maths and english altogether and do other things we're interested in for the rest of the time. This includes personal projects, which involves choosing a topic, researching and presenting it to our class. We have a class meeting once a week to address any issues that have arisen and to share ideas. The children go to specialist teachers for craft and Italian lessons once a week.

The children are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning by making decisions on how and what they want to learn.
